Saranda is situated between high mountains and the blue Ionian Sea. Built on the Ionian Seashore, facing the Greek island of Corfu, Saranda enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate. The main avenue of the town runs parallel to the seaside, which lined by restaurants and hotels. Through the port of Saranda, the town has daily traffic with the island of Corfu.

The places to visit:
The antique city of Butrint. There is just 25 minutes driving. The most significant archeological objects are the theatre of Butrint, the temple of Aesculapius (god of health), the altar of baptism, mosaics, walls and antique entrances to the city.
Another historical monuments is the castle of Lekures erected on a hilltop, only 2 km from Saranda. It was built in the 14 – 15-in centuries, during the campaign of Sultan Sulejman against Corfu. You can visit also in Saranda “Blue Eye” 18 km to the northeast of town. The contrast of the blue waters, the vegetation, the shadow of the century – old oak make this destination even more relaxing.
